We frame new single-family homes, multi-family units, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), room additions, second-story additions, covered decks, garages, and light commercial structures. Our crews are experienced in both wood platform framing and light-gauge steel framing, and can handle complex roof structures including hip roofs, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beam designs. We read and work directly from architectural and structural drawings, coordinate with engineers on beam sizing and hardware specifications, and document all work for building department inspections.

A misaligned wall or an out-of-square room opening causes ripple effects that cost time and money for every trade that follows. Our lead framers use laser levels, story poles, and continuous measurement verification throughout the framing process to ensure layouts are accurate to tight tolerances. We pre-plan header and rough opening sizes for doors and windows before the first stud goes up, and we perform a pre-drywall check to verify all blocking, backing, and rough openings are complete and accessible before the next phase begins.

Colorado's mountain and high-plains environment creates structural demands not found in most other states. Snow loads in El Paso County can reach 30 psf on roofs, and wind exposure categories require specific shear wall designs and connector hardware. We work with structural engineers familiar with local requirements and use Simpson Strong-Tie hardware systems throughout our framing packages to meet IBC and IRC code requirements.
